Indeed, it has been said regarding the Cross that “those who belong to Christ [Jesus] have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires” (Gal 5:24). Through his burial: we were buried together with Christ in Baptism, by which we die to the world. Through his Resurrection: just as Christ rose from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too walk in the newness of life. Through His Ascension into heaven and the throne at the right hand of the Father: if you have risen with Christ, seek the things of heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, and taste the things of heaven rather than those of the earth; indeed, you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
