Church Father Quote of the Day

When going to pray, one should set aside every other thought and set his soul in his hands, almost tangibly guiding his mind to God, and before putting himself in the appropriate position-raising the highest part of his soul toward the presence of the Lord of all-he should distance his thoughts from offenses against him, just as each of us does not wish God to remember our own wicked actions, our many sins committed against our neighbor, and all the actions contrary to right reason that we are each aware of having committed.
