Luther Quote of the Day

6. Be exalted, etc. This is said in a mystical sense of Christ, who is exalted in the borders of the enemies when He rises up in anger. He is exalted in the midst of His friends, however, when He rises up in grace. This means, when according to the sense the enemies are forced to admit openly that He is exalted and glorious, though inwardly (in the heart) they refuse to do so. Their “borders” are their senses, while the midst is the heart, because it is innermost. Thus He is exalted in the midst of His friends. That is, the friends willingly exalt and glorify Him in the heart, and this is what it means to “rise up” in grace, not “in anger.”
