Walther Quote of the Day

Some people spend their lives subject neither to the Law nor to the Gospel. These people live no differently than animals. But woe to them when their eyes are opened after death! But Christians are able to rejoice in the hope that God will deliver them from the misery and suffering of this life. They can sing hallelujah! The examples of the martyrs make this clear. They did not go to their execution weeping and wailing, but met their martyr’s fate with joy and exultation. In them the words of Christ were fulfilled: “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
